Intake is generally two to two and a half hour where we do a thorough intake, physical exam and first treatment. The charge is $100.
The fee schedule for Gate of Hope Acupuncture is inspired from how doctors treated patients in ancient China. The doctor did not get paid for treating the sick.
It was once the patient was healthy, at the hand of the doctor, that the patient paid. They paid the doctor to stay healthy. In that vein this is how our clinical fees are tiered. When you are sick and getting treated more
often you pay less, and when you become healthier and are coming in less frequently the fee returns to our normal hourly fee.
On average moderate conditions require a minimum of 4-6 weekly, hour long treatments to see and maintain results.
On average more severe or chronic conditions require 8-12 weekly, hour long treatments.
Everyone is different and responds differently to acupuncture, we will know as treatment progresses.
As your condition improves and is maintained weekly we will begin spacing your treatments to every two weeks. This is exciting! Your body is beginning to heal itself and momentum has begun to flow in the right direction.
Your condition and health are becoming steady, we will space out treatments to every three weeks, and then to every four weeks.
Once you get to this point, acupuncture and your health becomes about maintenance and prevention. Some people do very well coming in monthly or simply calling when they start to feel they are due for treatment.
