Dear Gate of Hope Acupuncture Clients, It has been a while since we have connected. I hope this email finds all of you safe and healthy. I am writing to let you know I am in the process of getting the acupuncture practice back up and running. As you can imagine there is a lot to put into place, in order to be the safest possible for you and I. I am going to open May 18th. I have ordered and received an air purifer and UV santizing bag for the treatment room. I have on order gloves, medical masks and santizers that are scheduled to arrive between May 8th and May 18th. I have ordered anti microbial scrubs to wear when treating. I have cleaned out my treatment room in order to have as few as possible uneeded surfaces. I have done a deep clean and installed plastic cases to keep the extra sheets protected when not in use. I have had Zerorez clean all the furniture, carpets and apply a sanitizing spray and shield on all frequently touched surfaces in the Living Room, Hall and Treatment Room. I have also developed cleaning protocols for before and after each patient, daily and weekly. I have posted these procedures and have a printed copy available for you if you would like a copy. I have a cleaning chart in which I will document that I have carried out all the stated cleaning processes. I am also developing a new process for how we work together. I am asking that you go on my scheduler - Acuity and put in your credit card information so we can do hands free transactions. The link for the scheduler is on my website www.gateofhopeacupuncture.com or https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=13544286 I will be calling you preferably on Zoom the night before your appointment to do a Check In. That should take about 30 or so minutes. I will not be recording any of the Check In sessions. If anything comes up between the zoom session and your actual treatment time please take notes and share with me when you are here for treatment. I will be checking on any symptoms you have been having in the last 2 weeks and ask that you reschedule if you have Covid 19 symptoms. I realize that it is allergy season and so we will work to discern if your symptoms are allergy related. If you do not have symptoms it would be handy for me if you took your temperature before our first meeting in order to establish a norm for your individual temperature. The day of the treatment I ask that you text me from the car and let me know you have arrived. Please wear a cloth mask throughout your time here. If you do not have access to masks let me know as I can gift you one and give you instructions for cleaning. We will take your temperature at the door ( If you have a temperature at that time I will ask that you reschedule for a time when you are symptom free ). We will then preceed to the restroom (which will have been precleaned for your arrival) and have you wash your hands. We will then proceed to the treatment room for pulses and treatment. I believe treatment should be 30 - 45 minutes. I will be washing my hand before pulses and after. I will be sanitizing or washing my hands frequently through out the treatment. After treatment I will give you the opportunity to wash your hands before leaving. We can schedule either with the scheduler through phone conversation, texts or email. If you schedule on the scheduler please text me as I sometimes forget to block off unavailable times. I will work to be consistent with that. When we schedule the appointment we will need to also schedule the Check In session the day prior. I will adjust the sessions on the scheduler to reflect Check In and Treatment time. I know there are a lot of changes and new procedures, but I am planning to give you the same level of individualized care and attention as before. We will be navigating this process together and I would love any feedback on what works for you and what doesn’t. I plan to be always on the look out for ways to improve and enhance our treatments together. I am sure I have forgotten to cover something so please let me know if you have any unanswered questions that I can address. If you have a question someone else probably needs that answer too. Please take care of yourselves and I look forward to reconnecting soon.
